SharePoint Migration Specialist

This position is a Sharepoint Migration Specialist role, specifically focusing on migrating a Legal intranet from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online.

Job Summary:

Seeking a Sharepoint Migration Specialist with expertise in SharePoint migrations to support the transition of a Legal intranet from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online. The role involves gathering requirements, documenting user stories, leading UAT, and ensuring a smooth migration process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SharePoint experience, a strong understanding of SharePoint Online's capabilities and limitations, and the ability to work closely with Legal Operations and implementation teams.

Must-Have Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in large enterprises.Hands-on experience with SharePoint site creation and/or migrations (SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online preferred).Strong ability to elicit, document, and translate business needs into user stories.Experience participating in functional testing, UAT, integration testing, and data migration validation.Knowledge of SharePoint Online functionalities, limitations, and best practices.Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to create clear documentation.Bachelor's degree (BS) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Legal Operations teams or on Legal intranet projects.Familiarity with formal change management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and document business and functional requirements as user stories for the implementation team.Collaborate with Legal Operations and key stakeholders to define migration needs.Provide insights into SharePoint Online capabilities and limitations to set realistic expectations.Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, ensuring requirements are met.Support change management processes related to the migration.
