About the Role:
Ecolab is seeking a dynamic and experienced SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in building and strengthening safety practices and leadership across our organisation. We are looking for someone who can help us not only meet but exceed our safety benchmarks, particularly in the areas of chemical, fleet and transportation safety. This role may also encompass environmental safety, ensuring that our work environments and processes are safe and that hazard identification is culturally embedded.
Key Responsibilities:
Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement a visionary safety strategy for ANZ, incorporating best practices in chemical and transportation safety.
Cultural Change: Lead and drive cultural change towards safety, ensuring alignment among leaders and embedding safety as a core value.
Leadership and Influence: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to make safety a shared responsibility. Inspire and influence without direct authority.
Best Practices: Bring external perspectives on best practices to enhance our safety protocols and mindset.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Site Safety Champions and Division Safety Champions to understand site-specific needs and drive safety initiatives.
Strategic and Tactical Blend: Balance strategic planning with tactical execution, setting clear expectations and aspirations without direct people management responsibilities.
Support and Development: Support the SHE Specialist and other safety champions in their roles, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
Our preferred candidate will have:
Proven experience in safety leadership, ideally in chemical and transportation safety.
Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and influence senior leaders.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
