The Ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience operating shears and breaks in a manufacturing or similar environments. High school education is preferred but not required This role involves interpreting shop drawings (blueprints), locating materials, and using an overhead crane to transport materials to the work area. Precision is crucial as you will measure and cut materials according to specifications, understanding materials tolerances and allowances for shearing and braking. Responsibilities:Operate Machinery: Use shear and brake equipment to cut and shape materials per shop drawings, ensuring precision.Material Handling: Safely transport materials using an overhead crane, including attaching materials and handling them with proper lifting techniques.Measurement & Accuracy: Accurately measure materials with a tape measure to ensure cuts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily machine checks, address any issues, and report problems promptly to maintain production flow.Safety & Collaboration: Adhere to safety protocols, work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a safe environment. Qualifications and Requirements:Proven experience (2-3 years) operating shears and brakes in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Familiarity with using overhead cranes for material handling.Ability to read and interpret shop drawings (blueprints) accurately.Proficiency in using basic tools such as tape measures and hand tools.Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.Commitment to workplace safety and following established safety protocols.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.Ability to stand for extended periods.Frequent reaching, pulling, lifting, stooping, and bending required.Ability to lift and move heavy materials as necessary. Benefits and Perks: $17-$22 hourlyMedical Benefits HolidaysTraining & Growth Your New Organization:The largest steel tank manufacturer in the U.S., specializing in aboveground and underground tanks that meet construction standards.
