Job Title: Sheet Metal Supervisor
Job Description

Supervises, coordinates, inspects, and performs the assembly, installation, and repair of HVAC sheet metal and duct systems during the construction, tenant finish-out, or remodel of commercial buildings. Reports to an HVAC Superintendent and performs other related duties as required.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare material take-offs, layout appropriate systems, and make isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals, and job orders.Participate in job planning for work packages, site set-up, and construction schedules.Eliminate construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity.Organize, supervise, lead, and train crewmembers to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.Accurately estimate hours and materials for scheduled jobs.Submit crewmembers’ timesheets to payroll by the deadline.Operate and supervise the operation of equipment and machinery such as forklifts, man-lifts, and power tools.Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.Coordinate placement and storage of materials, tools, and supplies to support the construction plan.Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.Comply with and enforce all company and safety policies, procedures, and requirements.Conduct regular tailgate safety meetings.Attend operations meetings as required.Essential SkillsHVACVAVSheet Metal SupervisionDuct LayoutHVAC Duct InstallationBlueprint ReadingDuct WorkSheet Metal InstallationSheet Metal FabricationAdditional Skills & QualificationsFabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, including ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and presses.Install and secure sheet metal products using soldering, welding, riveting, and other fastening methods.Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications as necessary.Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mint Hill, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00
