Job Description
We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers to install HVAC systems on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidates will have experience in hanging, cutting, bending, and shaping sheet metal, as well as assembling and installing sheet metal ducts, fitters, and hangers.
ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC systems on commercial construction projects.Hang, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal.Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate runs of duct using hand tools and power tools.Assemble and install sheet metal ducts, fitters, and hangers.Join ducts and fittings using screws, bolts, drives, solder, caulk, and weld joints.Essential Skills4+ years of experience on commercial construction projects.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.Experience laying hangers and installing ducts.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.Ability to cut, fabricate, and install sheet metal.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints.Experience leading a crew and handling layouts and takeoffs.Commercial construction experience on various project sizes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will need to travel to the job site daily in your own vehicle, with job sites located in Austin. Expect to work 40+ hours a week, with flexibility for overtime as needed. Work typically starts between 7:30 am and 12:30 pm most days. A mandatory safety orientation will be held at the office on the first Monday of employment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $31.00/hr.
