Sheet Metal Mechanic

Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair internal and external aircraft structures for modifications in compliance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.

Job Requirements: Heavy modification (Mod) experience Heavy structures experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals Knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft structures Experience in aircraft structural fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair Preferred Skills: Proficiency in using aircraft sheet metal and structural repair tools Experience with composite material repairs and installations Familiarity with rivets, fasteners, and bonding techniques for aircraft structures Ability to perform structural inspections and identify potential issues Prior experience working in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment Job Responsibilities: Plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble aircraft structural components Perform structural modifications and repairs on aircraft in accordance with engineering drawings and FAA regulations Install internal and external aircraft structural components during modifications Conduct inspections and assessments of aircraft structures to determine necessary repairs Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for cutting, bending, drilling, riveting, and fastening aircraft materials Ensure compliance with quality control standards and safety procedures

Pay Details: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour
