Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sheet Metal Shop Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fabrication and industrial maintenance and be able to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced shop environment. Key Responsibilities + Metal Fabrication and Welding: + Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick techniques. + Fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous iron components. + Equipment Operation: + Use a break for metal forming and shaping. + Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. + Measurements and Specifications: + Accurately read and interpret tape measures and other measurement tools. + Industrial Maintenance: + Perform industrial maintenance and millwright tasks as required. Qualifications + Basic understanding of welding and metal fabrication techniques. + Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding is preferred. + Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring devices. + Proficient in operating a forklift. + Familiarity with structural steel and iron fabrication. + Experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work is a plus. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. + Good and punctual attendance. + A strong interest in understanding how things work and a motivation to learn and improve. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. + Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments. + Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
