**Sheet Metal Technician** **Job Description** The Sheet Metal Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining sheet metal across the campus, focusing primarily on hand railings, among other facilities. **Responsibilities** + Perform sheet metal repairs on mobile or stationary equipment. + Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools. + Install door hinges, panic bars, thresholds, motorized projector screens and mounts, and toilet partitions. + Maintain kitchen equipment, roof gutters, and overhead doors. + Install and repair roofing and flashing materials. + Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets. + Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cements, rivets, solders, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds to assemble components or repair sheet metal items. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of experience in MIG/TIG welding. + Experience in fabricating sheet metal. + Experience in installing sheet metal. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Experience with TPO roofing. + Knowledge of using various welding techniques such as stick welding, MIG, and TIG. **Work Environment** This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders/stairs.
