Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed A&P Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and modifying the sheet metal components of aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to safety.

Aircraft Maintenance & Repair:

Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications to aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and control surfaces, in accordance with approved manuals and blueprints.Repair or replace damaged sheet metal components using techniques such as riveting, patching, or welding.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications in aircraft logbooks and other required documentation.

Inspection & Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine and non-routine inspections to identify damage, corrosion, or fatigue in sheet metal components.Diagnose structural issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.

Fabrication & Modification:

Fabricate replacement parts and assemblies using tools like sheet metal brakes, shears, and rivet guns.Perform modifications to enhance the aircraft’s structural integrity or to meet specific operational requirements.

Work Experience
Valid FAA A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant Certification).High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience in sheet metal repair and maintenance (2+ years preferred).Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and technical manuals.Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment for sheet metal work (e.g., drills, riveters, shears).
