Employee will be responsible performing in-depth sheet-metal repairs and modifications on both piston and jet aircraft in the general aviation arena. The position will require the ability to make decisions related to the proper techniques and materials needed to perform the work. Some travel both domestic and international may be required to recover damaged aircraft or repair aircraft at the customer facility. Employee must be proficient in all aircraft manufacturer’s support manuals to allow complete research into a repair programs or maintenance functions.
Straight Flight is a subsidiary of Sierra Nevada Corporation since 2007 and is equipped with 3 18,000 square foot hangars with back shops for fabrication of both metal and composite parts, avionics repair, and painting projects. Straight Flight became a Certified Repair Station with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992 and was rated by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2007. Straight Flight currently holds a very impressive Operations Specification that includes 5 Class ratings.

Preferred:

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Power plant certification with no prior FAA violationsExperience with computerized maintenance manualsPrevious Sheetmetal experience with thicknesses of .0015" - .0030", or with flight controls will be favorably considered
