CDR Health Care Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to support operations at various shelters located between Clearwater and Tampa in response to Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. All positions are temporary and short-term, working 12-hour shifts (night and day). Depending on the storm's trajectory, deployments could extend to other regions as needed. Key Responsibilities + Greet and sign in shelter guests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to shelter policies. + Assign beds to guests based on availability and specific needs. + Maintain accurate records of guests and inventory of supplies. + Provide information to guests. + Collaborate with other shelter staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of the shelter. + Uphold the principles of dignity and respect for all shelter guests. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent. + Previous experience working in a shelter or social services setting is preferred. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings. + The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. + Ability to deal with high pressure. + Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and Overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends. + Must have a valid active and clear Driver’s license. + Demonstrates the technical safety expertise, coaching ability, and passion for the role. + Partners and collaborates effectively to create win wins with internal operational partners and external partners. + Strong relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to balance education vs. accountability.
