Position classification Onsite -- Job duties and expectations require employee to be regularly scheduled onsite. + Description + Benefits + Questions What Success Looks Like In This Job Provide crisis intervention, case management, resources, and community conflict resolution by responding to calls involving persons that need assistance due to mental health concerns, community concerns, experiencing homelessness, and those that need a resolution outside of the criminal justice path. Examples of Duties for Success + Provides crisis intervention and de-escalation on the telephone, face-to-face, and in a variety of environments including parks, homes, businesses, fields, emergency rooms, and other places where a person in crisis is located. + Assesses a person’s risk of harm to self or others and arranges needed resources or immediate placement. + Collaborates with other co-responders, law enforcement, court personnel, and external providers to provide services including intervention and diversion. + Maintains relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out treatment/service plans. + Collaborates with clients, law enforcement, and community organizations to provide person-centered assessments; devise safety plans, identify support systems, reduce, and mitigate risk factors and point consumers to supportive services, subsequent care, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues. + Maintains and updates health records within established departmental or program-directed timelines. + Works to complete accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure proper monitoring and application of the program. + Adheres to the goals and objectives, policies and procedures, standards, and protocols of the Crisis Response Unit (CRU) + Participate in appropriate and required training to include mental health first aid, personal safety, and anti-bias policing. + Complies with all laws, including those protecting the privacy and security of protected health information. + Complies with all applicable CORHIO policies. + Adheres to all ACSO policies and procedures. Qualifications for Success + Master's Degree from an accredited college or university focused on counseling, social work, psychology, or related field. + Current license or provisional license in the State of Colorado as an LP, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW preferred. + Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Certified Addictions Technician (CAT), or Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) preferred. + Must maintain clinical license competencies within DORA requirements. + Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical, co-response, or related crisis counseling position is required. + Experience working or collaborating with law enforcement and / or criminal justice officials preferred. + Valid Colorado Driver’s License required. + Previous shift work experience preferred. + Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates preferred + A differential is offered for bilingual individuals that can complete a bilingual speaking and writing assessment.
