Shielding Assembler 1st Shift (TEMP-TO-PERM) Schedule: M-F 6:00am – 2:30pm Pay Rate: $17 Department: Shielding Manufacturing Job Functions: · Verify dimensions and check the quality or fit of particle board and sheet metal pieces to ensure adherence to specifications. · Slowly push the particle board into the glue machine. Lay sheet metal on rolling cart, as particle board exits the glue machine, use hooks to gently lay on sheet metal. Creating a panel. Repeating steps until the rolling chart is at desire capacity. Meeting daily production goal. · With team members, lift glued panel into pressing machine to apply pressure to panel ensuring desire adhesion of particle board to sheet metal. · Quality check panel, by lifting and flipping panels inspecting for bubbles, scratched, dents. Clean panel with acetone removing any leftover glue. · Following blueprints, cut panel into specified dimensions for ceiling, floors, and walls. Physical Demands: + Extreme ambulatory requirements – ability to stand/sit/move with no physical limitations or aids to perform activities. Lots of lifting, group efforts. Minimum Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED. + 0–1 year experience in manufacturing environment. Ability to · Use a measuring tape, calipers, and measuring square. · Perform simple math (i.e. fractions and decimals). · Listen, understand, and follow instructions. · Perform preventative maintenance on glue machine, to including, cleaning, filling glue and glue removal. · Create canvas covers. · Create clamps by cutting clamps per job specifications. · Sand panels using sanders and deburr per quality standards. · Follow safety rules and procedures. · Basic computer skills. · Do work as assigned by supervisor. · Work in a team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous quality improvement with emphasis on Lean and 5s principles. **Pay Details:** $17.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
