Shift Conference Team Lead

If you love both event management and technology – and especially if you’re a good event team leader – this is the opportunity for you. We are looking for an experienced and organized Team Lead to lead our global technology conference series – Shift.
 

You would independently manage all aspects of the conferences (and connected meetups) that take place in Europe (Zadar), US (Miami) and beyond - both from the production but also business aspect. Shift developer (and startup) conferences are a recognized brand with 1000s of attendees and international speakers, that also serves to boost Infobip’s brand in the developer and startup space.  


What will you do: 

Coordinate and execute Shift conferences and connected meetups and programs 

Prioritizing / directing / managing a dedicated team and their performance for the above areas; (move up) 

Be responsible for high level: 

Vision, concept and event quality, aligned with long term benefit for Infobip; 

Topic and agenda planning and execution: 

Speaker planning, outreach and management; 

Attendee marketing and sales and success; 

Partner outreach, management and success; 

Internal partner and stakeholder management 

Event production resources, partners and their execution; 

Coordination and communicationwith teams within the  Developer Experience department, as well as Marketing and Engineering. 

Effectively utilize and update sales and PM tools with your team organize, document and report on all the above aspects of the role. 

Be responsible for achieving defined performance criteria, KPI across the whole team (overview of success and achievement criteria). 

Coordinate brand and website development with designers and engineers respectively; 

Tracks performance and motivation of your members, identifying competency gaps and supporting people growth. 


Must have qualifications: 

Experience in all aspects of event management of conferences (preferably in tech) that are not just “company events” but conferences that serve audiences. The bigger the conference the better, as Shift target 100s, 1000s of attendees; 

Self-starters who can manage both themselves and their team (a lot of event managers are “lone wolves” - we do need a manager) 

Understanding of how to drive marketing and sales for both attendees and marketing; 

Be proactive and able to manage the on and off seasons of event management work 

Ability to work independently, remotely (async even) and effectively communicate via online meetings, chat, email, phone calls, Teams, Slack, etc. 

Great partner and stakeholder communication skills (account management vibes) 

Excellent command of the English language, especially business English. 

 

Nice to have qualifications: 

Proven ability to land and manage global speakers and partners for events; 

Long-term strategic planning.
