The Shift Coordinator PM is responsible for supporting restaurant management and coordinating shifts within The Circular restaurant located at The Hotel Hershey. Additionally, this position is responsible for directing and assisting the Front of House team, maintaining communication between the Front of House and Back of House, assisting with employee and guest issues, customer interactions, enforcing brand standards, and financial accountability.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Supervise host(esses), wait staff, server assistants, and bar area employees. Oversee and ensure proper cash handling, cleaning, sanitation, service, and food preparation. Delegate tasks to uphold guest service standards for an excellent customer experience.
Coordinate employee shift changes and breaks, including coffee breaks. Edit schedules based on direction from management, staffing needs, and employee availability.
Conduct food service training and set the example for guest-friendly service.
Take orders, cashier, and control wage and supply costs.
Maintain all standards for health, safety, sanitation, guest service, and hospitality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of (1) year customer service experience.
Post-Employment: RAMP and ServSafe Manager Certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to provide legible communication and direction.
Proven employee/guest relations, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Computer experience and proficiency in Word and Delphi. Knowledge of POS helpful.
Ability to model hotel's standards, policies, and procedures.
Ability to discuss food and beverage knowledgeably.
Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
Ability to focus attention on details.
Ability to anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Job Demands:
Schedule will vary according to operating needs, but will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical requirements include the ability to walk and stand up to 100% of the shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds.
