Overview of the Role or Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for the facility maintenance, ammonia, compressed air, steam, boilers, water treatment, and effluent treatment plant operations.

Schedule: 12-hour continental shift. Days and nights. 

Salary: $44.30

There are salary increases every year.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Perform all maintenance functions within the Plant, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment, pumps, motors, high pressure steam plant, etc.;Operate all plant refrigeration and heating systemsPreventative Maintenance on related equipment;Complete all required documentation (work orders, log books, etc.);Comply with GMP, HACCP, and BRC practices;Comply with TSSA requirements and Operating Engineers act;Other maintenance/duties as required.

You are best suited for the role if you:

Minimum Third Class Power Engineering or Class B refrigeration;College/University degree in related field is an asset;Current knowledge in PMP, SOP, HACCP and GMP procedures;Minimum Three years of operating and ammonia plant maintenance experience;Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing environment, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, service and field operations of various auxiliary equipment – air compressors, water treatment plants, etc.;HVAC knowledge and experience;Power control, electrical and mechanical skills;Familiar PLC, operation and troubleshooting;Familiar with fire suppression and building security system;Must be willing and able to work shift work and across shifts, including weekends;Must be willing to work from heightsProven communication and inter-personal skills;Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation;Strong analytical and organizational skills;Proficiency and dependability in current position.
