Job Title: Shift Engineer    

Reports to: Engineering Manager  

Scope of Role:  East Kilbride

  

Job Purpose: Time served multi-skilled engineer to join existing engineering team.

 

 Role Responsibilities:

 

Working 12 hour shifts following a customer led rostered shift pattern.Maintenance and repair of printing and packaging machines and site services.Contractor control

 

Qualifications:

 Time served apprenticeship – either electrical or mechanicalMulti-skilled training with cross over experience

 

Knowledge, skills, experience:

 

The ability to adopt a flexible and reactive approach to machine maintenance and breakdownsThe ability to work in both a challenging and interesting environmentInvolvement in preventative and predictive maintenance activityPro-active involvement in improvement projectsTo work strictly within current Health and Safety guidelinesA working knowledge of PLC/microprocessor controlled production equipmentThe ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematicsA working knowledge of computerised maintenance databasesPC literacy
