Shift Leads will wear many hats in order to deliver a gold standard experience to all customers. All Shift Leads are expected to become cross-trained in all three areas of the business: Service, Production and Maintenance/Sanitation as a Team Member prior to being considered for a Shift Lead position. Our goal is to develop Shift Leads who can oversee the productivity of Team Members on every shift they work. Shift Leads are operational experts, who can teach and coach new Team Members while being a role model for providing a gold standard experience to our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE SHIFT LEAD POSITION:
The intellectual and physical demands described below are representative of what must be met by a Shift Lead to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• Lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 40 pounds
• Kneel, bend, twist or stoop
• Ascend or descend stairs
• Reach and grasp objects (including above head and below waistline)
• Excellent verbal & written communication (can answer a telephone, operate a tablet & computer)
• Cleaning tables, floors, equipment and other areas of the Restaurant (sweep, mop, restrooms, etc.)
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food
• Ability to multitask
• Work on their feet for several hours at a time
• Available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays
o Availabilities need to meet the needs of the business
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Provide all Customers with quick and friendly service
• Work together as a team, delegating to Team Members to complete tasks and assignments to ensure
continuity of service
• Work under pressure and at a fast pace
• Take initiative
• Comply with all Company policies
• The ability to report to work at the prescribed time for each scheduled shift and to fulfill the job requirements
for the duration of the shift or until relieved of all duties by a direct next Lead
• The ability to interact productively with co-workers
• The ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
• The ability to receive constructive criticism in a professional manner
• To perform all work-related tasks as assigned by your Assistant Lead and above
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Below is a job description for a Shift Lead:
-Being punctual and following attendance policy
-Actively trains Team Members & cross trains often
-Position and adjust as conditions change with DSPT's
-Complete Daily Food Safety checklist and Procedures & Policies
-Completes and leverages Shift Lead Squadle table to complete:
-Travel Paths every 30 Minutes on Squadle
-Conducts Pre-Shift Checklists on Squadle
-Follow Shift Reminders to wash hands, change towel buckets,
-Sets Targets every shift that meet company expectations
-Address customer complaints promptly and use Customer Recovery when appropriate
-Troubleshoot Tech & Equipment issues as conditions arise
-Digital Ambassador that helps assist customers when using mobile ordering, McDelivery, & Kiosks
-Drives Customer insight via VOICE survey responses
-Trains Team Members and help drive new products roll outs
-Consistently coaches safety procedures & reports any customers & employees incidents
-Supports the restaurant’s profitability goals, examples include:
+ Labor hour goals are achieved.
+ Verifying time punches are accurate
+ Ensure all breaks are given to comply with California Law with no exceptions
+ Food Cost procedures are coached consistently
+ Submit and Verify Truck Deliveries, Waste, and Inventory
+ Verifying employee meal policy is adhered to
+ Maintains quality control by providing golden standard products
+ Cash handling procedures are executed daily
+ Ensures planned maintenance & daily maintenance tasks are being completed
BENEFITS:
Effective April 1st 2024 the hourly pay rate will start at $22 an hour.
+ Free meals per shift are provided
+ Eligilble to earn up to 40 hours in Sick Pay a year, after 90 days worked
+ Eligible to earn up to 40 hours in Vacation Pay a year, after 1 year worked.
