JOB DESCRIPTION:

Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Wednesday-Sunday (Monday and Tuesday OFF)

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This is a remote position on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. This position will provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments and appropriate service linkage for individuals who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, as well as support crisis care consultants during shift by answering operational questions, overseeing the scheduling of crisis services and supporting new hire onboarding in telephonic crisis work and online emotional support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross trained in telephonic and online emotional support servicesDemonstrate high level of clinical knowledge and skill in providing risk assessments and crisis interventionDemonstrate the ability to obtain all information effectively and efficiently (i.e. demographics and clinical information) for accurate documentation in the electronic database.Provide operational assistance to staff on shift to ensure compliance with program standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.Demonstrate knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.Maintain resource management database system on quarterly basisAttend and actively participate in all ongoing team meetings, in-service trainings, supervision, and other quality assurance trainings.Assist with follow-up and web-based services (local chat/text services) for all departmental programs. Provide peer support and debriefings to coworkers as needed.Assist with onboarding and training new hires on Crisis Care Services operations.Monitor multiple crisis email boxes.Compliance requirement for annual completion of KPI forms.Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditationsAssist in administrative tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level          

Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, required, or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist required. Master’s Degree preferred.    

Years of Experience       

One year experience providing crisis intervention services required, two years preferred.
