Requirements: + Maintain positivity and enthusiasm at all times + Ensure that superior products are being served to customers + Support staff with product knowledge and education + Promote an excellent experience for both employees and customers + Anticipate & proactively address customer and store needs + Handle cash with flawless accuracy + Promote teamwork and excellent communication within the café + Provide on-the-job education and mentoring Specific Duties: + Plan and execute Lead Guide throughout shift + Maintain Shift Lead Communication Log + Ensure kitchen and bar crews produce superior products + Direct work flow on the floor during the shift + Check in all deliveries and file invoices appropriately + Ensure that side work and Hot Corners are addressed each shift + Provide change for registers, count previous deposits, take deposit to bank, maintain back up bank + Maintain Verve Coffee Roasters Standard on Service Product & Atmosphere every shift + Assist with inventory, ordering and training as needed by management Qualifications: + Must love coffee and have experience as a barista + Must have training in food service + Supervisory experience preferred + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Well organized and detail oriented + Previous cash handling experience preferred + Ability to work well with a team + Logical and methodical approach to problem solving + Flexible with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment + Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation + Availability for a minimum 30-hour work week + Available to work weekends and holidays + Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted + Must be able to stand for long periods of time Pay & Benefits: + $18.50-$19/50/hr + All employees qualify for paid sick days + Mentorship and positive work environment + Free coffee with each paycheck + All employees receive a 30% discount on all merchandise, whole bean, beverages, and food items Verve Coffee Roasters is committed to creating an accessible, supportive environment that recognizes and celebrates diversity as an integral component of building a trusted brand and a successful team.
