Your role and responsibilities

Lead communicates and direct distribution associates through daily activities focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeepingPerform process audits to ensure compliance to documented proceduresHands-on participation requiring high level of floor presence to direct the flow of daily activities and the timely movement of associates to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness throughout the operationCapture daily performance activity for determining effective methods to increase performanceMonitor system and communication with internal/external customers to ensure work in being completed timelyAttend and assist with “Pre-Shift” meeting to share information, discuss safety, quality, daily plans, and staffing needsProvide feedback and input to supervisor regarding associate’s performance, behavior, and attendanceFollow all safety guidelines and always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Other duties as requested by management

Qualifications for the role

Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalencyPrior experience as Supervisor/Team Leader a plusWorking knowledge of a warehouse management systemAbility to operate power industrial equipmentBasic computer skills and good understanding of overall distribution operationsMust be able to handle confidential and sensitive information/situations in a professional mannerMust be able to lift to 40 pounds repetitively and frequentlyNot afraid of heights – Ability to work at all module levelsRequired to climb, bend, stoop, and stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout shiftStrong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situationsDetailed and team orientedFlexible to work different shift if necessary and overtime with little or no noticeCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
