The Sanford Production facility, one of the largest facilities within Coty, produces Skin Care, Nail and Fragrance products in our luxury and consumer goods categories. At our production facilities the focus is on the safety of our employees and the quality of the products we produce. The facility works in the fast-paced beauty industry requiring individuals to take the lead on projects and execute them with excellence. Each member of the manufacturing team adds value by delivering the best balance of service, cost, and sustainability that deliver the Company’s corporate objectives. The role of the Shift leader is to lead the shift daily by scheduling the employees to maximize output and achieve the production plan. They will assist the Production Manager in delivering the daily requirements for the shift. **THE ROLE** **In this role you will be responsible for:** + _Coordinates production plan for the shift, while ensuring adherence to plant procedures and standards._ + _Serve as first point of contact in advanced troubleshooting on a daily basis. Including developing robust problem statements for root cause problem solving._ + _Ensure onboarding and training of new employees on their shifts._ + _Provides feedback to Production Manager regarding Operators and temporary employees (performance - skills, knowledge, behavior), including input for training plans._ + _Coordinate staffing plan for the shift ensuring vacation coverage is adequate for production._ + _Review work orders for TAL and Inventory accuracy; resolve discrepancies to root cause._ **Key Success Measures:** + _Delivery of daily safety performance, ensuring safety systems are executed and 5S Standards are adhered to._ + _All products are produced within Quality specifications, and all deviations from specifications are investigated._ + _Production requirements are delivered in the right quantity and at the right time._ + _Production meets the scrap targets for all raw materials and components._ + _Staffing and Cost targets are achieved for scheduled production runs._ **Leading the Team:** + _Coaches employees consistently on safety, quality, and production processes._ + _Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively under pressure._ + _Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team._ + _Lead the culture of following standards at the plant._ + _Lead shift handover meetings to ensure continuity between shifts._ **Continuous Improvement:** + _Identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste._ + _Update plant standards and procedures when they do not exist or are not clear enough._ **Project Management:** + _Ensure the Initiative Management process is followed when executing Line Trials, including the proper resourcing is on the line._ + _Validating production lines are ready to run after handover of initiatives or engineering products._ + _Assist manager in selecting team members for projects._ **People Leadership:** + _8 to 40 Indirect reports per shift_ **KEY INTERFACES** + Production Manager + Quality Manager + Safety Functional Leader + Contract Employee Shift Leaders + Process Engineers + Warehouse Management **QUALIFICATIONS** We’d love to see candidates who have: **_Essential:_** + _Experience in Manufacturing with strong knowledge of Safety and Quality (GMP) Fundamentals._ + _Line Operator Experience preferred._ + _Leadership Skills_ + _Strong communication skills._ + _Excellent problem-solving skills._ + _Effective time management to balance various tasks and responsibilities._ **WHAT WE OFFER** This is unique role with a genuine opportunity to make an impact.
