Duties

We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join the team on our Upper Tier COMAH facility based in Nuneaton.  Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all Operational related activities across the site and lead a team of Operators. The successful candidate will be expected to improve the efficiency of the current pick/pack environment by implementing improvements that enhance compliance in all aspects of health, safety, environment and quality whilst improving upon volume throughput and our service offering to customers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

To ensure the Operations team picks, load and dispatch all outbound traffic to the correct standard and timescale. Maintain a safe and clean site environment consistent with Univar’s Solutions 12 Lifesaving rules. Coach and develop your shift team members, driving good stock management practices and high standards of work. Be able to demonstrate experience and improvements to the picking environment. Be able to demonstrate experience of involvement in competent authority audits and quality audits for a Top Tier COMAH site as well as being an important part of the Emergency Team. Knowledge of maintenance and permit to work systems. Knowledge of SAP and other SAP programs.

 

We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be an experienced manager/leader.  It is essential that you are self-motivated, focused, flexible, numerate, possess excellent organisational and strong IT skills. SAP knowledge would be highly desirable.  This role is for a self-motivated individual, with experience in warehousing and stock management. You will strive for accuracy of information, be an agile problem solver and be capable of working on your own initiative in what will be a key role to the efficient operation of the site.
