What you’ll do:
The post holder will be part of a multi-skilled team of 8 craftsmen and 4 assistants, working a 24-hour rotating shift pattern. Using specialist knowledge, training, and qualifications, the post holder will ensure the safe operation and maintenance of complex plant, equipment, and control systems across the hospital. Responsibilities include performing planned and emergency mechanical/electrical tasks to high standards. The role requires full compliance with Trust and Sodexo Health & Safety, Infection Control, and Permit to Work systems. The post holder will carry a page/emergency bleep for timely response to calls and a mobile phone for communication with staff. Workloads will be prioritized, and the post holder must act quickly in emergency situations to prevent injury, damage, or loss of life.What you bring:
Conduct fault finding diagnostics on various mechanical (HVAC, Medical Gas, BMS) and repairs. NVQ 3 or equivalent experience working with either HVAC, Heating, Medical Gas or BMS Previous experience in CAFM and BMS systems would be beneficial Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge. Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressureWhat we offer:
