Here at Mars we now have an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator to come and join our factory team! 

The production coordinator oversees the smooth execution of production plans, maintain adherence to standards, and actively creating and driving action plans to return the line to standard running conditions in a timely manner. 

Responsible for driving FMOS, efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and actively contributing to the ongoing improvement of production processes. The role requires a combination of problem-solving, and collaborative skills to achieve optimal production performance.

What are we looking for?

A strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to relate to all people at all levels, from a variety of backgrounds and to confront difficult and challenging situations as required

Excellent organisational and prioritisation ability

FMCG or high-speed production environment experience

Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy

Good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft based systems

SAP literacy is desirable

TPM/Operational Excellence/Autonomous Maintenance experience desirable

What will be your key responsibilities?

Ensure that production plans are executed and lead to the execution of PM’s and changeovers.

Proactively monitor losses across wrapping and process areas and lead Basic Problem Solving (BPS) to define accurate problem descriptions.

Monitor the progress of production activities, identify, and escalate any issues or delays promptly in accordance with FMOS escalation procedures.

Implement and uphold safety protocols and regulatory requirements to create a safe working environment.

Maintain and enforce safety and quality standards to ensure that products meet or exceed established specifications.

Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing production processes.

Support the development of factory operators also, coaching and mentoring them to enhance their problem-solving skills and overall performance.
