Ex: High School Diploma, 6 months related experience, etc.)** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee our second-shift production operations at our Pelham Plant. The ideal candidate will ensure that production runs safely and efficiently while meeting quality standards and maintaining a positive work environment. This role includes training employees, troubleshooting machine issues, and collaborating with various departments to optimize workflow. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times. + Ensure timely and efficient production while maintaining quality standards. + Work in a production role as needed. + Oversee and implement new projects, processes, and procedures, tracking and reporting results to senior management. + Train employees and assign/direct their work. + Troubleshoot machine problems and communicate issues with supervisors. + Work closely with the scheduler to ensure timely order fulfillment. + Maintain a positive attitude toward employees and enforce company policies. **Other Responsibilities:** + Fill in for the Supervisor when necessary. + Monitor employee performance and provide feedback. + Partner with Human Resources and management on recruiting, performance reviews, and other personnel matters. + Operate a forklift. **Minimum Qualifications:** + At least 5 years of experience as a supervisor/manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the lumber/plywood industry. + Effective communication and leadership skills. + Positive and professional demeanor with a team-oriented mindset. + Ability to respond to manager and employee requests promptly. + Self-motivated and proactive problem-solver. + High school diploma or GED. + Proficient in Microsoft Office. + Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch as well as calipers.
