Allied Universal® is hiring a Shift Supervisor. The general purpose and function of the Shift Supervisor encompasses the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a single shift at an Allied Universal®. client’s site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-shift are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training)Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been metMaintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirementEnsure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shiftPerform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervisionRespond to client requestsMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post OrdersProvide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their dutiesDisciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnelMake productivity and cost reduction recommendations to managementMake recommendations for physical security surveys and post ordersMake recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentCurrent driver’s license If driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicleMinimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related IndustryAble to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsEffective oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accuratelyProblem solving skillsActive listening skillsAble to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAble to compile, sort, and interpret dataSkilled in research, investigation, and in compiling informationAble to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacyAttention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related fieldPrior experience in the fire service, law enforcement, and/or militaryOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certificationCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified
