Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pickup, pull product, move product with lift truck/turret truck within the warehouse. 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follow all Company policies and procedures

Maintain an accurate cycle count of product

Move product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse

Safely drive lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers trucks as required

Maintain row tags for material staged on the floor

Must be able to work overtime when required

Operates the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed

Inspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct

Stacking configuration

Place finished goods in appropriate area in the warehouse

Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties

Required to assist wherever needed

Perform daily safety check before using forklift each shift

Follow all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Performs inventory control activities, verifies product fits on loads, verifies accuracy of pick/pack and staged orders, performs warehouse consolidation efforts, and performs warehouse walk through reporting all discrepancies to Leadership

Fulfill other duties as assigned by Leadership

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Understand methods of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customers’ special instructions.

Be willing and capable to work overtime, as required.

 

EXPERIENCE

Six months in a shipping / warehouse environment

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

Must be detail oriented

Ability to do functional math: (i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide)

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

Manual dexterity required with exposure to arm, wrist and back fatigue.

The employee continuously uses their arms, hands and fingers to handle, grasp, hold, grip and squeeze.

The employee routinely bends and lifts up to 50 pounds and climbs/descends stairs.

The employee stands approximately 2 hours and routinely walks the warehouse area to check production and consult with other employees.

The employee routinely steps up 1 ½ feet and pulls themselves into the seat of a forklift.
