**Job Title: Shipboard Laborer with Secret Clearance**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking laborers to join our team for a new contract at Pearl Harbor. The ideal candidates will provide support to various trades, maintain cleanliness in work areas, and operate equipment safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in diverse environments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist plastic fabricators, fabric workers, shipwrights, painters, blasters, equipment cleaners, and hazardous waste disposers.
+ Clean work areas, including shops, ship spaces, and dry-docks.
+ Set up, operate, and maintain industrial pressure washing equipment (up to 6000 psi) in accordance with OSHA and other standards.
+ Safely lift and carry equipment/materials up to 50 lbs. or more.
+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
+ Work indoors, outdoors, and on board surface crafts and submarines.
+ Work in conditions containing dust, dirt, vibrations, loud noise, low lighting, and poor ventilation.
+ Perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, crawling, and working in cramped positions.
+ Work off scaffolding and unstable footing.
+ Use appropriate tools, equipment, cleaning agents, and safe procedures for cleaning ships' tanks, bilges, and void spaces.
+ Control contaminated clothing in accordance with safety regulations.
+ Use a variety of hand and power tools to assist various trades.
+ Follow oral and written instructions and perform simple, routine tasks independently.
+ Apply procedural guides and established practices provided with assignments.
+ Work effectively with others.
+ Operate up to a 2 ½” fire hose for cleaning purposes.
+ Assist trade workers by performing routine tasks and trade operations under general supervision.
+ Work in areas with potentially harmful physical and chemical agents (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, chemicals).
+ Perform tank watch/fire watch duties.
+ Maintain general housekeeping as needed per shift.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalence.
+ Medical clearance to work within a lead-controlled boundary.
+ Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
+ Ability to work in diverse and challenging environments.
+ Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, and working in various positions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ OSHA Maritime and Firewatch training(provided)
+ Dbids and clearance.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes working indoors, outdoors, and on board surface crafts and submarines. Conditions may include dust, dirt, vibrations, loud noise, low lighting, and poor ventilation. Personal protective equipment such as noise protection, respirators, coveralls, steel toe rubber boots, and cut-resistant gloves will be provided. You will use various hand tools and power tools, including flashlights, headlamps, pneumatic tools, and wrenches. The dress code requires a hard hat, steel toes, and safety glasses.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.01 - $25.01
