This job offers multiple shifts with a pay rate of $27-41/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120-150/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Multi-pass tack weldingWorking with propane burning torch & heating torchAssemble structural piece parts in accordance with specifications in quality mannerWork with carbon arc gougingUse work packages & drawings to plan & execute workUse molded lines & ship references lines to execute workErect, set, & makeup complex shaped shell platesErect, set, & makeup decks, bulkheads, longitudinals, trunks, etc.Install & replace hull inserts & penetrationsInstall miscellaneous & complex foundationsUse vibratory tools grinders and needle gunsOther tasks as assigned
Requirements:
4+ Years of Commercial/Naval Experience as a First Class ShipfitterSkills in Multi-Pass Tack WeldingSkills in Burning Oxygen/Propane Burning Torch & Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating TorchAbility to comprehend complex structural assembly drawings blueprints and sketches to include weld symbols material types datum and reference lines.Experience working in a physically demanding environment shipbuilding steel fabrication etc.Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industryMust pass Background Check & Drug Screen Company DetailsTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
