**HIRING SHIPPER IN READING, PA - START ASAP** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipper to join our team. The Shipper will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials conform to specifications and are free from defects. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. **Responsibilities** + Inspect incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices. + Examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage that occurred during manufacture or transit. + Compare quantity and part number of items with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of orders. + Inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation according to blueprints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications using measuring instruments and devices. + Approve or reject items and record inspection information. + Inspect final and production line parts, materials, and assemblies as required. + Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. + Document actions by completing production and quality forms. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. **Essential Skills** + Experience in shipping and receiving. + Experience with documentation, including materials lists and part numbers. + Ability to use a tape measure to a 16th of an inch. + Crane experience. + Wrapping and packaging experience. **Pay Rate: $19/hr** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
