**Job Title: Shipper** **Job Description** As a Shipper, you will be responsible for loading trucks with an overhead crane or forklift, gathering batch and heat numbers for outstanding sizes based on customer requirements, and tagging finished goods material with shipping labels or bar code tags. You will also unload and put away packaging material, break bundles and repack them as per customer orders, ensure that all products are in their proper stock location as per the floor plan, and keep stock areas hazard-free at all times. Additionally, you will use database software daily to check for availability of material as per customer orders and conduct continuous stock audits of the shop floor to expose any issues with finished goods material. **Responsibilities** + Load trucks with an overhead crane or forklift. + Gather batch and heat numbers for outstanding sizes based on customer requirements. + Tag finished goods material with shipping labels or bar code tags. + Unload and put away packaging material. + Break bundles and repack them as per customer orders. + Ensure that all products are in their proper stock location as per the floor plan. + Keep stock areas hazard-free at all times. + Use database software daily to check for availability of material as per customer orders. + Conduct continuous stock audits of the shop floor to expose any issues with finished goods material. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years experience operating an overhead crane and counterbalance forklift. + 2+ years of RF Scanner experience. + Experience with a computer inventory tracking system (ERP such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) or some sort of shipment tracking system (they use Infor). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane, including inspection before use. + Able to use banding equipment. + Work well within a team and independently. + Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. + Excellent time management and organizational skills. + Proficient with computers. + Good mathematical skills. **Why Work Here?** This is a 1-year contract to cover a shipper that is presently on leave. There is a possibility of becoming a permanent employee, but no guarantee. If you become a permanent employee, you will start receiving partial benefits at the 3-month mark and full benefits at the 1-year mark. **Work Environment** The work environment is a dirty warehouse with lots of mills running.
