Job purposeThe Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the proper receipt and dispatch of precious metals and precious metal products to and from the West Deptford site. This includes completing all shipments per the daily shipping schedule and ensuring all customer documentation, packaging and shipping specifications are met.
Principle accountabilitiesResponsible for receiving and signing for precious metals coming into in the vault. Includes verifying counts, weights, and taking samples for impurities.
Required to package, label and ship final products. Must be able to properly identify the packaging and labelling requirements via applicable Dangerous Goods or State and Federal regulations.
Required to create receiving records, provide accurate information for waybills, interpret orders, identify, and pull lots and proper containers and perform weighing.
Responsible for creating freight bills utilizing Federal Express, UPS, and DG Office systems.
Responsible for rejecting any shipments that do not meet customer or internal specifications.
Will collaborate with EHS for tracking all SDS receipts and updates.
Responsible for inbound shipments of hazardous waste for precious metal recovery. Verification of manifests and manifest handling, proper labelling and container integrity, and placement in the hazardous waste storage area.
Responsible for managing inventory deadlines, tracking of customer orders, and scheduling logistic changes.
Submit samples and print assays using LIMS.
Requirements for the role:
High school diploma or GED required, post-secondary education preferred
Knowledge of state, federal, DOT and International regulations, including but not limited to: 49CFR (DOT), IATA, IMDG, GHS and OSHA. Certification preferred.
Experience in shipping and receiving procedures including but not limited to: precious metals, high value shipments, incoterms, and domestic/international transport required
