Temp to Hire **POSITION TITLE:** **Large Package Associate** **TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:** **Assistant Manager, Large Package Orders & Shipping** **POSITION SUMMARY:** The primary responsibility of this position is to processing large package orders. This position will assist with other warehouse functions as needed. **REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Creates invoices for large outgoing orders by scanning the cart position number, selecting the appropriate shipping box and scanning each UPC and serial number barcode. Matches all serial numbers to the invoice. Verify whether or not the order contains any Limited Quantity products. If so, affix the appropriate labels and arrows on the carton. Insures that there are no Limited Quantity labels on air packages. Insures product required to be bagged is placed in bags and arranged securely in the package. Positions product in the package to insure a product is not damaged in transport. Insure boxes weighing over 40lbs are properly packaged and taped to prevent damages Places package onto the conveyor. Operates powered equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner. Insures that the large package area is clean and orderly. Assists in taking inventory on a bi-monthly basis or as needed. Assists with other warehouse functions, as needed. Keeps warehouse safe, organized, and clean. **Secondary duties:** Assist with pulling orders. **EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED:** None **QUALIFICATIONS:** The Large Package Associate must be able to work quickly and accurately. A strong attention to detail and basic math skills are required. This individual must be able to follow directions, effectively communicate with others and be able to read and write. This position requires a person to be on their feet working in a fast paced warehouse environment throughout day. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** While performing the duties of the Large Package Associate, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to move at a fast pace throughout the warehouse. The associate is also required to stand, climb or balance, stoop and kneel. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific vision ability required include, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Normal hearing is required. The physical demands of this job are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
