**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist** **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packing and preparing products for shipment in accordance with specific instructions. This role requires care and accuracy to avoid damage to materials and ensure safe transit. Additionally, the position involves operating various tools and software for shipping purposes. **Responsibilities** + Pack and prepare products for shipment according to specifications. + Ensure accuracy in packaging to prevent damage and ensure safe transit. + Use chop saw, overhead hoist, measuring tape, hand tools, nails, and strapping tool. + Operate forklift and crane daily to move materials. + Utilize external shipping company software, including UPS and FedEx Ground applications, to schedule and label freight. + Perform shipping and receiving, shipping/data entry, and packaging tasks. **Essential Skills** + 1-2+ years of experience with FedEx or UPS. + Proven computer skills. + Basic math and reading skills. + Ability to use a ruler/tape measure. + Experience of one (1) year or more using a forklift/overhead crane. + Previous shipping/material handling experience. + Previous experience in packaging. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to learn and operate external shipping company software and equipment. + Capability to lift or move heavy materials up to 30 pounds or seek assistance for heavier items. **Why Work Here?** Join a world-class provider of mobile hydraulic and electrification products and solutions. The work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Employees must be capable of lifting or moving heavy materials and will use various shipping applications daily. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and accuracy in following shipping specifications. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
