**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate** **Job Description** This position will be tasked with loading trucks overnight, ensuring that trucks are ready to go out in the morning. This may include forklift operation, side loader operation, or overhead crane operation. Employees will be responsible for reading work orders, locating parts, and loading them onto trucks. **Responsibilities** + Complete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions + Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles, and help maintain the upkeep of the warehouse + Receive, place/return items into stock inventory locations + Pull and assemble orders based on reviewing work/shipping orders or other documentation + Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation + Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklift, side loader, or crane + Operate yard truck for the purpose of loading and unloading trailers + Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition + Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code + Conduct spot checks on inventory and complete daily and/or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material, as directed + Report any irregularities to supervisor for direction + Restock material + Occasionally drive motor vehicle (non-DOT truck) for local deliveries and parts pick-ups + Ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards + Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Shipping and receiving + Material handling + Lifting boxes + Inventory control + Inventory management + Packaging + Stocking + Loading/unloading trucks + Overhead crane operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience + High School diploma/GED preferred + Warehousing and material handling experience preferred + Adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination + Ability to read and comprehend written instructions + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form + Basic measurement skills + Basic arithmetic skills + Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively + Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, and judgment + Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally, 60 pounds repetitively + Ability to stand for sustained periods of time + Ability to push or pull 80 pounds of force + Ability to go up and down off truck trailers repeatedly + Ability to work in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F and below 32 degrees F + Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers **Why Work Here?** We offer a direct placement opportunity in a team environment, where almost every job in the warehouse requires teamwork and collaboration. The shift is 3rd Shift, from Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6 AM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
