Job Description
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving raw materials and other purchased goods, ensuring accurate quantities, and completing proper documentation processing. You will deliver goods to their proper locations, operate various workstations to process outbound shipments, and maintain accurate records in SAP. Additionally, you will handle shipping papers, including export documents, and recognize and report unusual conditions. The role involves operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining certification for proper forklift operation.
ResponsibilitiesReceive raw materials and other purchased goods, review packing slips for proper quantities, and submit for proper documentation processing.Deliver goods to proper locations after completion of the receiving process.Operate various workstations to process outbound shipments.Maintain all required transactions in SAP.Complete shipping papers correctly, including export documents.Recognize unusual conditions and report to appropriate personnel and/or Lead.Operate forklift, load and unload trucks for best methods of shipment.Receive incoming parts from vendors or warehouses; identify parts and place them into proper bin locations.Assist in the replacement of defective parts to prevent production operator downtime.Receive and maintain certification of proper forklift operation license, and perform daily safety checks.Perform daily replenishment route checks of floor stock items, prioritizing assembly cells when signaled by light.Ensure timely and accurate updating of SAP system material information.Report existing or pending part shortages to Department Facilitator and Supply Chain Specialist.Perform accurate electronic scale and hand counts.Pack goods for shipment to customers.Consistently lift up to 50lbs.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping and receiving.Ability to pick and pack orders.Experience with tape measures and work instructions.1 year of recent manufacturing experience, with related job experience within the last 3 months.Manual assembly experience preferred.Experience with air ratchet wrenches, manual wrenches, pliers, and clamps.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanically inclined with experience using small hand tools.Knowledge of packaging, quality inspection, and general production.Forklift operation and certification.Basic math skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled but can be oily due to the product manufactured. The position includes three shifts: 1st shift from 7am-3:30pm with potential for 10-hour shifts from 5:00am-3:30pm, 2nd shift from 3pm-11:30pm with the same flex time as the first shift, and 3rd shift from 11pm-7:30am. Training will occur on the first shift for 3 weeks. Employees are allowed two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. The dress code requires khakis, Dickies, or blue jeans, with no workout pants. T-shirts are allowed but must not display offensive or derogatory language. Jewelry and watches are not allowed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50
