**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling shipping and receiving tasks, be proficient in data entry, and have experience in packaging. The role requires daily safety checks, managing the shipping floor, and supporting various shipping and receiving areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ Review shipping floor for status
+ Conduct daily safety checks
+ Address subcontract area issues
+ Package items in small, medium, and large areas
+ Manage routing of FedEx and UPS stations
+ Close orders for invoicing
+ Process international shipments for small/medium packaging areas
+ Load trucks for outgoing shipments
+ Support the Senior Shipper, Receiving, and Stockroom areas as requested or other duties as assigned by Supervisor
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2+ years of experience with FedEx or UPS
+ Experience in shipping and receiving
+ Proficiency in data entry and packaging
+ Administrative/logistical background
+ Organized and detail-oriented
+ Good with computers
+ Stockroom, warehouse, and shipping experience
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ One-year shipping/material handling experience
+ One-year manufacturing experience
+ Forklift experience
+ Overhead crane experience
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ Proven computer skills
+ Basic math skills
+ Ability to lift or move heavy weight material in difficult work positions
+ Steel toe/composite toes required

**Work Environment**
This is a job shop environment focused on the agricultural industry and equipment such as hydraulic cylinders. The position requires wearing steel toe/composite toe shoes and involves handling heavy materials.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
