Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Description We are in search of a 2nd shift Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team located in Monroe, North Carolina. As part of our logistics department, you will play a pivotal role in managing the order fulfillment process, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a seamless coordination between various departments. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. The hours are 2:30-11 Monday to Friday no weekends Responsibilities: • Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, including picking, packing, and shipping to ensure high customer service standards • Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with 5’S Housekeeping Standards • Ensure accuracy and control of inventory within the distribution facility, including stock rotation • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by adhering to safety guidelines consistently and fairly • Assist in other areas as directed and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures • Propose process improvements and implement them upon management approval • Establish and maintain beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments • Use computer programs and ERP systems proficiently to streamline warehouse operations • Assist in achieving division objectives with a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy • Work closely with Account Services, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to meet objectives. Requirements • Proficiency in Computer Programs essential for the role • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required • Ability to work with ERP Solutions is necessary • Experience with IBM AS/400 will be advantageous • Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software is preferred • Proficiency in using About Time software is required • Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls efficiently is necessary • Experience with Billing Functions is desired • Excellent Communication skills are essential • Strong Customer Service skills are necessary TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
