We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in our Monroe, CT and Newtown, CT facilities. This position will be responsible for executing a variety of shipping & receiving process for production facilities with a low volume of delicate, high value parts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for receiving incoming products and materials• Requires completion of incoming inspection testing, confirmation of certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving / purchase documentation
• Notification and/or delivery of incoming product to end user
• Each receipt must have documentation (packing slip, etc.) to support computer system entries
• Requires completion of daily receiving entries in computer system
• Receivers distributed to purchasing office for filing Responsible for raw material and critical supply inventories
• Requires maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, monthly inventory accounting, and reorder quantity vendor releases notification
• Actual physical counts of raw material and tag controls required Responsible for timely, quality completion of all out bound shipments
• Requires preparation of sequentially numbered paper work in ProMan accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services
• UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request
• Ensure that all export requirements and regulations (e.g., appropriate ECCN classification assigned) are handled correctly Oversees general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the loading dock and inventory areas Report defective materials or questionable conditions, as appropriate Drive the company van, as needed, to make deliveries and pickups Required to perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required 3+ years related experience and/or training Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems) Experience updating ERP systems desiredSkills
Current or ability to obtain forklift operator certification Strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to carefully handle delicate/sensitive parts Demonstrated ability to manage time Basic reading and math skills Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement Valid driver's licenseWorking Conditions

Required to lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility Able to stand/walk a minimum of eight (8) hours per daySafety Requirements
