Position and Responsibilities Overview
 

Works closely with other Quality Inspectors, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that all manufacturing and inspection activities are performed in compliance with process work documentsCompares quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of each order Required to manage digital file updating, organization, and maintenance Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to parts manuals, company standards, as well as drawings, submittals, and specificationsOccasionally helps the receiving team to unload and move materialIdentifies non-conforming or inadequate documentation, material, and/or processesGenerates Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for anything not meeting RKMC standards and/or requirementsDistributes NCR reports to vendors and facilitates communication for follow up and corrective and preventive actionsOversee and maintain quarantined material that has been red tagged and removed from the production floorRequired to update and maintain multiple quality reports as necessary throughout the dayHelps to monitor and maintain calibrated tools and the associated processOccasionally assists with root cause analysis investigations and process gap identification and improvementsAssists the company and team with audits and audit preparation as necessaryOther duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

General knowledge and understanding of ISO 90012-5 years of prior Quality Inspector experienceAbility to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, and quality standardsIntermediate computer skills and use of Microsoft Office 365Experience with and ability to utilize ERP support systemsCommunication SkillsIntermediate Computer SkillsProfessional Writing SkillsDocument management skillsPreferred to have general PIV knowledge and experience
