Shipping Associate will be responsible for coordinating and performing routine and non-routine tasks such as domestic and International shipping, kit Assembly, inventory of shipping supplies.

• Perform independently all aspects of shipment of products under appropriate conditions.
• Prepare shipments for domestic orders including product appropriate packaging, create shipping labels and work with shippers like FedEx for shipments pickup and follow up.
• Coordinate International shipments logistics including working with multiple couriers, preparing country specific logistics paperwork, preparing shipments and arranging pickups.
• Communicate effectively with the courier coordinator about the courier schedule.
• Responsible for review and Accurately complete packaging documentation and internal paperwork to support packaging operations
• Order and manage inventory of all shipments related supplies like insulated containers, labels, dry ice etc.
• Prepare and assemble all assay ready products as per BOMs for shipments.
• Manage expiration dating extension as needed to meet customer needs.
• Work with Customer service and Finance for order shipment logistics.
• Serve as trainer and subject matter expert for job appropriate tasks.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies LEAN, GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Accountable and responsible for client needs and timeliness
• Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
• Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines
• Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements

Qualifications

The Basic Qualifications:

AA/AS in biological or biotechnology sciences and a minimum 1 year related industry experience orHigh School Diploma and a minimum 2 years of experience in a transportation/distribution/logistics environmentAuthorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorshipFor all Eurofins Discovery Services Businesses in US; Successful applicants will be required to confirm positive COVID-19 vaccination status or demonstrate eligibility for medical or religious exemptions prior to commencing employment

The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

Ability to lift objects up to 70 lbs.Familiar with Domestic and international shipping requirementsCertified in IATA regulationsInternational Air Transport Association (IATA) Training – Certification49 CFR Parts 100-185 U.S. D.O.T. HAZMAT – CertificationFamiliarity with shipping and warehouse maintenance a plusDetail orientedFamiliar with basic computer skillsComfortable working in a fast paced environment

Additional Information

​​​​​​​This role pays in the range of $23-$28 per hour.

The Schedule is full-time, first shift.
