**Shipping Associate - Join Our Team in Binghamton, NY!**
Do you have strong computer skills and attention to detail? We’re looking for a Shipping Associate to support our Binghamton facility. This isn’t just a “pack and label” role—you’ll be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring shipments meet specific requirements and working closely with various teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
**About the Role**
As a Shipping Associate, you’ll be responsible for preparing shipments, handling necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with customer and government requirements. This role goes beyond typical shipping tasks, as it involves working within company portals, assisting with data integrity in Oracle, and even supporting our Records Retention storage. You’ll report directly to the Materials Manager and be cross-trained to provide backup support in Receiving and Stockroom areas.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Prepare products for shipping, generate paperwork, and determine shipping methods.
+ Meet customer-specific requirements, including advanced notices, barcoding, and freight management.
+ Support government contracts by ensuring compliance with cage codes, modifications, and specific packing needs.
+ Work closely with Finance to ensure all documentation is complete.
+ Assist with maintaining records and protocols for Records Retention storage.
+ Collaborate with Operations and the Service Center to meet business priorities and customer needs.
**Requirements**
+ **Education** : High School Diploma or GED required.
+ **Experience** : 2+ years in production/manufacturing, shipping experience a plus.
+ **Skills** : Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn Oracle and other internal systems.
+ **Attributes** : High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, ability to prioritize under pressure, and self-motivation.

**Pay Rates**
18.00 Hr
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
