Job Description
The Pharmacy Shipping Associate is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions according to client specifications and is responsible for other duties assigned. This role involves performing routine and professional pharmacy functions, accurately packing and shipping prescription orders, stocking freezers with gel packs, and following all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order. The associate must respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, along with any other local or federal laws.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and professional pharmacy functions.Accurately pack and ship prescription orders in a timely manner.Stock freezers with gel packs.Follow all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order.Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws.Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements.Maintain a clean and orderly work site.Keep an adequate stock of boxes and supplies at the shipping station.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred, one-year minimum of shipping/receiving experience.Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, and management.Ability to learn from a variety of techniques.Ability to follow established process flows.Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations.Work Environment
This position will be located in Indiana and involves working in a standing environment. Typical hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The work environment includes exposure to noise and vibrations, and requires reaching, handling, and feeling, as well as standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds is necessary
Pay Rate: $16/hr
