**Job Title: Shipping Associate**
**Job Description**
As a Shipping Associate, you will report to our Shipping Manager in the Production Support department. You will act as a backup for the Shipping Manager when they are out of the office, handle shipping documentation, schedule pickups, provide freight quotes, and ensure accurate order closures. You will also meet daily packaging targets, receive and inspect products, maintain documentation, track inventory, participate in process improvements, and keep work areas clean and organized.
**Responsibilities**
+ Act as backup for the Shipping Manager by referencing the Open Order Report to determine daily priorities.
+ Prepare and collect shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
+ Schedule trucks and pickups by calling carriers directly or using online portals.
+ Provide freight quotes to the Sales team.
+ Close out orders in Infor VISUAL, preparing packing lists, collecting weights and dimensions, and indicating carrier and tracking information.
+ Work with external drivers at the loading dock to load/unload materials.
+ Meet daily packaging targets with a high level of accuracy.
+ Receive products and parts from Quality Control, match them to sales orders, and pack and ship them according to guidelines.
+ Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and report damaged or defective items.
+ Maintain the integrity of all documentation and retain it for a minimum of 6 months.
+ Track inventory of consumables and notify the Shipping Manager when running low.
+ Participate in packaging process improvements.
+ Keep work areas clean and organized.
+ Dispose of packaging materials and waste according to company policies.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in shipping, packing, or warehouse roles.
+ Ability to prepare shipping documentation.
+ Experience with scheduling trucks and pickups.
+ Ability to provide freight quotes.
+ Ability to meet daily packaging targets.
+ Experience with visual inspections.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Familiarity with or willingness to learn UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager, Adobe Acrobat (PDF), Microsoft Excel, Infor VISUAL, and/or Omega TMS.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
+ Effective communication skills with team members at all levels.
+ Strong attention to detail.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marlboro, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
