Excellent opportunity with an industry leader looking for the best and brightest Shipping Cell Leader, to join a growing team!

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am-5pmPay starts at $17/hourAffordable benefits only 30 days after starting the job, and potential for raises!Report to the Operations Manager.

What you'll do as a Shipping Cell Leader:

Focus attention on the safety of all team members by ensuring safe working conditions exist in all areas while implementing continuous improvement plans to eliminate work-related incidents.Establish team goals and track key performance for error reduction, labor utilization, overtime management, loading receiving accuracy and quality, and metrics to ensure continuous improvement.Manage the loading and receiving department to include assisting with employment decisions, monitoring and ensuring compliance with company policies and standard procedures, developing team members and performance assessments of team members.Ensure all team members receive training in lean methodologies, tools and standard operating procedures used for continuous improvement and elimination of waste.Ensure cross training of team members across job functions to allow for flexing of employees to optimize the effectiveness of the department.Work closely with Production Manager and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely communication as well as effective planning for product flow from manufacturing to shipping.

Work Experience

The Preferred Candidate Might Have:

5 years of work experience in a shipping capacity with emphasis on loading flatbed trailers.3 years supervisory experienceExperience operating forklifts and overhead cranes used for the movement of product.Demonstrated problem analysis and problem-solving skills, and coaching team members in developing these skillsRefine manufacturing process to achieve continuous improvements in quality, delivery and cost
