Start your new career as a Shipping Clerk with MAU at our client in Covington, GA. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for processing customer shipments, ensuring accurate documentation retention, and delivering shipping records to the appropriate stakeholders.
What We Offer: Pay of $16.00/hour First Shift | 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Health benefits, including telehealth medical services Opportunity for advancement What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED preferred Must have experience in the freight and logistics industry Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly What You’ll Do as a Shipping Clerk: Use the system to print shipping documents, including pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading Access carrier websites for rates, routing, tracking, and scheduling pickups Obtain rate quotes based on size, class, destination, and any special requirements Route and schedule shipments according to rates and customer instructions Complete and attach shipping documents, including PROs, and schedule carrier pickups Assist order selectors with order validation, labeling shipments, and entering small package shipments into freight carrier systems Support customer service by re-routing shipments, providing tracking information, and managing returns Backfill and train other distribution and traffic work centers to ensure smooth coverage during PTO Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Adhere to all safety requirements and training protocols
Undertake other responsibilities as needed
