**Job Title: Shipping Clerk** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will follow established work instructions and shipping procedures, ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products. This role involves reading sales orders, assembling and filling boxes, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. **Responsibilities** + Follow established work instructions and shipping procedures. + Read sales orders and understand shipping directions given. + Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped. + Ensure labeling information and quantity accuracy when preparing shipments to ensure product quality. + Verify inventory and report any shortages to the Finished Goods team. + Insert items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. + Process orders based on the preferred/routed shipping system (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.). + Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed. + Appropriate interaction with delivery and freight company personnel. + Maintain appropriate 5S conditions, keeping warehouse aisles and locations inside and outside clean, organized, and free of clutter. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma/GED preferred. + Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English. + Good math knowledge. + Ability to work effectively with team members, other departments, and management. + Good communication skills. + Proficiency in MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). + Good attendance and work ethic. **Why Work Here?** Join a fast-paced and dynamic work environment where you can develop your skills and grow within the company. This environment is incredibly fast-paced, and you will be standing on your feet all day. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
