Shipping Clerk in Machine Shop Environment **Description** At MMT - Glebar, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. MMT - Glebar is in an expansion mode and is looking for a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Clerk to support our warehouse of custom manufactured machinery and components. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Overview: Supports Assembly and Warehouse teams in receiving and distributing parts and materials in a timely manner. Picks, Packs and Ships various components via small package (FedEx/UPS/DHL) and freight carriers to customer locations worldwide. Duties: • Packing, labeling, and distribution of parts, products to/from internal and external sources • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping standards and documentation • Generate shipping documents and labels via our ERP system through UPS/FedEx software and other web platforms. • Maintaining appropriate records and reporting/investigating issues and disparities • Provide weights and dimensions to support staff if needed and obtain freight quotes, if necessary • Interact with multiple departments within the organization on a daily basis. • Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures. • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment. • Review pick lists, determine product availability, verify shipment information prior to processing, accurately process order within ERP system. • Assist in receiving, storing, issuing, and delivery of equipment, tools and supplies: inventory control, inventory review, stock counts and all required recordkeeping • Verify accuracy of incoming shipments by weighing, counting, and/or measuring items and comparing size, weight, descriptions/code numbers with information on invoice, packing slip or purchase order. • Wrap and label products clearly and accurately. • Open crates or other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects. • Move inventory to various locations within the warehouse manually and by utilizing various mechanical equipment (forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, carts and hand trucks) • On occasion, will be required to drive company vehicle to transport supplies and materials to/from other local sites or locations as instructed. • Pack mixed merchandise securely to ensure safe arrival of goods. Utilize appropriate packing materials and fabricate custom cartons or containers when necessary. • Kitting and picking components for assemblies and machine builds. • Ability to start and stop multiple tasks, and ensure tasks are completed accurately, while working in a fast-paced environment. • Ensure critical orders are processed and packed in time for daily pickup. • Perform duties as assigned • Cross train in other areas and train co-workers as needed. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. • Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb rolling ladder with ease • Ability to grasp, and lift small to large items • Experience with UPS/FedEx Software and/or web platforms. • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams a plus • Valid Driver’s License • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
