Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating purchase orders, collaborating with the global supply chain team, tracking shipments, and managing relationships with vendors. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
ResponsibilitiesCreate Purchase Orders in company ERP system (NetSuite).Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain team to ensure orders are produced and delivered on time to support regional sales activities.Track ocean containers to their final destinations and communicate with our customer service team on pending challenges.Coordinate with local import brokers to ensure containers clear customs in a timely fashion, duty fees are paid, and invoices are correctly recorded.Review shipping documents for accuracy.Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, ocean lines, rail, port, inland carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure containers move smoothly from origin to destination.Participate in annual physical inventory counts at assigned warehouses.Manage relationships with domestic third-party activated carbon vendors in the U.S.Support the Customer Experience Director with various projects as needed.Essential Skills & Qualifications Freight forwarding experience.Experience with importing and international logistics.Ability to analyze and make recommendations to effectively solve problems.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Collaborative team player mindset with the ability to work in a matrix organization.Action-oriented self-starter who can challenge the status quo.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience with MS Office products.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent supply chain experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.Experience with ocean imports is highly preferred.Willingness to travel a few times per year to perform physical inventory counts and attend meetings.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a professional office setting with occasional travel required for physical inventory counts and meetings. The role involves regular use of ERP systems and Microsoft Office products. The work schedule is standard business hours with some flexibility as needed.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
